Windows 7 is capable of changing disk partition size even after partition has been created. It has been built into Disk management service.
- Go to Windows Start menu –> control panel –> System Security
- In System Security Window one of the last option is Administrative tools. Depending on your view settings you will see opion create and format hard disk partition. Select it.
In case you don’t see this option click on Administrative tools –> Computer Management –> Disk Management.
- Now Right click on partition you want and click on Shrink Volume. Shrink Volume options will come up Enter the amount of space desired to be changed.
Click on shrink when done.
