Most commonly used in seasoning of cooked food, Cilantro / coriander can be easily grown in pots. Known as Cilantro, Chinese parsley , Dhania Cilantro in known to go to bolt (Seed) very fast.
Coriander seeds are commercially available as spice.
Coriander / Cilantro loves warm weather. Under hot conditions it will go to bolt very quickly
Growing Cilantro / Coriander in Pot
- Soil – Well Draining soil should be selected. Sun – Plant should receive at least 4-5 hours of Sun. Under hot condition protect plant from afternoon sun.
- Take complete seed of Coriander , break it into half’s ( Used some rubber like soft material apply pressure on seeds, they will crack open).
- Sow these seeds 6-7 inches apart. Seeds Germinate in 7-10 days.
- Once germinated can be harvested once grow 6 inch. When cilantro plant flowers its taste becomes to harsh for even cilantro / Coriander lover .
