How to Linux – Disable SElinux temporarily

This guide applies to Redhat, Fedora and other rpm based Linux systems. By disabling we mean to change SElinux to permissive mode

  1. Open terminal.
  2. Change to root user. This can be done by typing su , followed by root password.
  3. Check current mode by typing getenforce
  4. To change mode to permissive mode ( it will disable SElinux but log all alerts)
    Type setenforcing 0 
    This change SElinux to permissive mode.
